Armstrong Terminal, Inc. (ATI) is currently in the process of obtaining Safe Feed/Safe Food Certification and is hopeful to achieve this certification in the near future.
As part of our certification effort, we have implemented a Food Safety Modernization Act Compliance Program that covers:
- All required Current Good Manufacturing Practices;
- All required Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls; and
All Requirements applying to records that must be established and maintained
In support of this program and to assist in guiding our actions, ATI has developed an Objective Statement, a Feed Safety Mission Statement and a Quality and Safe Feed Mission Statement. These statements appear below:

Feed Safety Mission Statement
It is Armstrong Terminal, Inc.’s mission to establish and promote generally accepted feed safety guidelines designed to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of a safe and wholesome animal feed supply for the growth, development and care of all animals. Animal feed, feed supplements and processing aids stored and distributed from our facility are in compliance with local, state and federal regulations, e.g. the new 507 cGMPs and the 2011 Food Safety Modernization Act.
Quality and “Safe Feed” Mission Statement
Armstrong Terminal, Inc. (ATI) maintains a critical role in the supply chain of the US animal feed industry. As a crucial industry participant in the handling, storage, processing and transportation of animal feed ingredients, ATI is committed to maintaining the highest standards when it comes to quality and an unwavering commitment to ensuring safe feed for the animals of this country.
In order to maintain the highest quality standards, ATI has developed and implemented a Food Safety Modernization Act Compliance Program which addresses all the activities we engage in including, receiving, unloading, storing and handling material as well as processing and shipping material. Our Food Safety Modernization Act Compliance Program ensures compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act and other local, state and federal regulatory requirements.

A robust quality initiative requires a partnership between our customers, our customer’s customers, management, our entire employee population and other business partners.
